About this salve
Four plants come up again and again in the sleep research and they are not all doing the same job. Lavender has the strongest body of work behind it for sleep quality specifically. Lemon balm and chamomile sit at the settling-down end, and lemon balm's main compound is rosmarinic acid, which despite the name has nothing to do with rosemary.
The reason this is a blend rather than one herb is that no single one of them covers the ground on its own. Elderberry is the fourth. Chamomile is in here but it is not the lead, which is worth saying because most people assume it would be.
How to use it
Rub into wrists, temples, or the back of the neck as part of winding down.

Lemon balm, lavender, elderberry, chamomile, extra virgin olive oil*, coconut oil*, beeswax*, cedarwood essential oil*.
Items marked with a * are made with organic ingredients. Contains coconut oil, which is treated as a tree nut for US allergen labeling.
Keeping it
A salve has no water in it, so it needs no preservative and keeps roughly nine to twelve months.
A salve on your skin is scent, touch, and a two-minute pause before bed. That is a real thing and it is a different thing from taking a herb internally. Chamomile also sits in the same family as ragweed, which is worth knowing if you react to that.

Follow the directions on the label. With anything new, start small, and patch-test topical products on your inner arm first and wait a day before wider use.
